Characters
All characters will require a "handle" for use on the forum. 'Real names' are not permitted on the list. If you are unsure of what name to use a generic descriptor is generally a good bet (eg Bookworm, Redhead, Shortie) a list of canon Hunter characters is available here and should provide you with an idea of what kind of names are acceptable but please avoid using any of the names on the list if you can. Please do not use a variation of your usual online handle, just to keep a clear line between IC and OOC.
All characters are required to live in the Greater Sydney area and some area knowledge is required for the area you wish your character to live in (This includes things you can learn from a street directory or Google maps). In the near future a map feature will be included on the page to mark areas that have been 'tagged' by hunters and will consist of IC knowledge only. Feel free to contribute player created resources to the game such as maps of your own.
Hunters come from all walks of life and 99.9% have no prior contact with supernaturals so no crossover in your background, please.
Multiple characters are welcome but only one of your characters may attend a freeform/tabletop session at a time and each must have a unique login for the forum. Please try to limit the interaction between your own characters. Actions such as ganging up on another character with several of your characters will not be tolerated.
Infiltrator characters will not be accepted at this time.
NPCs will feature on the forum and may be available to new players to try at a tabletop/freeform session with prior organisation. NPCs may not be readily recognisable and all characters should be treated as player characters.
How to join
Email me (rachel @ statichowl.com) with a character concept including real name, forum handle, where the character lives, their immediate family (if any), an overview of the characters personality and if you wish the circumstances of how you became a hunter. The number of newly imbued hunters who managed to destroy the monster that caused their imbuing is aproximately zero. You are not the exception.
The only rule concerning an Imbuing is that you must take some kind of action other than fleeing when the existance of monsters is revealed to you. This action could be attacking the monster, trying to protect any bystanders or trying to calm or talk to the monster.
